Full-Time Marketing & Communications Associate (Term Position)

RMHC Manitoba supports the health and well-being of children receiving medical care by providing essential services and a home away from home for their families. Our programs include Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodations for out-of-town families, and Ronald McDonald Family Room, a place of respite for both Winnipeg and rural Manitoba families inside HSC Children’s Hospital.

RMHC Manitoba is currently inviting applications for a full-time Marketing & Communications Associate (12-month term position) at our Ronald McDonald House located at 62 Juno Street. Work hours are from Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support signature and third-party events.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing & Communications Associate will strengthen the awareness of the RMHC Manitoba mission by assisting in the development and management of community relations initiatives, brand integrity, fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, special events, third-party events, and more. The successful applicant must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The candidate must exude a caring, positive attitude and be a team player willing to help wherever needed.

Successful candidates must provide a current and satisfactory (less than 3 months) Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (as per Manitoba Public Health, 2 doses with booster when eligible).

General Responsibilities:

  • The creation of various marketing materials, in-house print materials, and online graphics as needed
  • RMHC Manitoba online marketing through website and social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
  • Photography of activities and families staying at our two core programs, special events, etc.
  • Assisting with written communication as needed (marketing materials, media releases, key messages, etc.)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High level of experience working with Adobe programs, particularly InDesign, as well as Photoshop, Acrobat DC, and Illustrator, is mandatory for the creation of marketing materials, digital graphics, etc.
  • Experience with social media marketing is an asset
  • Digital photography experience is an asset
  • Creative Communications diploma or other education in communications, marketing, and public relations is an asset
  • Website content creation and management is an asset
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills with proficiency in grammar and spelling
  • Resourceful and highly organized individual with strong attention to detail and adherence to RMHC brand standards
  • Non-profit experience is an asset
  • An active driver’s license is an asset
  • Applicants should be a compassionate and kind individual with interest in supporting the RMHC Manitoba mission

Annual Salary: $37,000 - $43,000
