Part-Time Housekeeping Associate (Day Shift)

RMHC Manitoba supports the health and well-being of children receiving medical care by providing essential services and a home away from home for their families. Our programs include Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodations for out-of-town families, and Ronald McDonald Family Room, a place of respite for both Winnipeg and rural Manitoba families inside HSC Children’s Hospital.

RMHC Manitoba is currently inviting applications for a part-time Housekeeping Associate at our new Ronald McDonald House located at 62 Juno Street. Shift times are Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Flexibility to fill in open shifts on an as-needed basis would be an asset.

The part-time Housekeeping Associate is primarily responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for the families of RMHC Manitoba. The Housekeeping Associate functions primarily in facility conditions and provides guest services.

The Housekeeping Associate reports directly to the Housekeeping Coordinator, who reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Successful applicants must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Candidates must exude a caring, positive attitude and be a team player willing to help wherever needed.

Successful candidates must provide a current and clear (less than 3 months) Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Abuse Registry Check with Vulnerable Sector Check. General Responsibilities:

  • Detail and clean guest bedrooms
  • Clean and stock public restrooms
  • Maintain cleanliness of all common areas
  • Ensure COVID-19 cleaning and sanitizing protocols are followed
  • Launder and store guest linens and towels
  • Maintain order in laundry rooms and supply closets
  • Dust and vacuum office areas
  • Clean kitchens
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Passion for the mission of RMHC Manitoba
  • Energetic person with proven skills in housekeeping and detailing
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Experience in the hospitality sector an asset

Starting Hourly Wage: $16.25

Full-Time Family Services Manager

Our programs include Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodations for out-of-town families, and Ronald McDonald Family Room, a place of respite for both Winnipeg and rural Manitoba families inside HSC Children’s Hospital.

RMHC Manitoba is currently inviting applications for a full-time Family Services Manager position. Shift times are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Occasional evenings and weekends as required. Takes on-call responsibility as scheduled or as needed.

As a key member of the RMHC Manitoba management team, the Family Services Manager works under the direction of the Senior Family Services Manager to assist with management of the House program’s family services. The Family Services Manager is responsible for managing the Weekend Family Services Coordinator and associates to ensure a welcoming and inclusive home away from home for families seeking the services and supports of RMHC Manitoba’s House program. The Family Services Manager works closely with hospital partners, system family services colleagues, and community organizations. The Family Services Manager’s mandate is to assist the Senior FS Manager to manage House family services harmoniously and work collaboratively with other program managers to maintain the highest standards of organizational and mission delivery excellence.

  • Maintain highest level of family service mission delivery by providing support and resources to families
  • Liaise hospital partner referral sources and manage external resources
  • Recruit and train staff for House Family Services coverage as needed
  • Ensure staff have effective and strategic input in regards to performance plans and evaluations
  • Engage and motivate Family Services volunteers
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with all other departments
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of non-profit sector
  • Knowledge of pediatric health and family centered care an asset

  • Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually

Full-Time Family Services Associate – Evening Shift

Our programs include Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodations for out-of-town families, and Ronald McDonald Family Room, a place of respite for both Winnipeg and rural Manitoba families inside HSC Children’s Hospital.

RMHC Manitoba is currently inviting applications for a full-time Family Services Associate. Shift times are Monday to Friday, 4 p.m. to midnight.

The full-time Family Services Associate reports to the Family Services Manager to coordinate the family services of Ronald McDonald House. This individual will be required to provide a compassionate guest experience, at all times, for all families requiring our support.

The successful applicant must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. The Family Services Associate should be adaptable and feel comfortable interacting with families from diverse backgrounds. The Family Services Associate is involved in family services and also serves as a resource to families, social workers, hospital staff, and co-workers. The candidate must exude a caring, positive attitude and be a team player willing to help wherever needed.

  • Strong relationship building skills

  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Experience in the hospitality sector an asset

Salary Range: $40,000 – $45,000 annually
